Join us for a wonderful evening of orchestral music to mark the debut solo concert for the Ellesmere Sinfonia. Performing Beethovens’ Coriolan Overture conducted by Scott Phillips, and Shubert’s ‘Unfinished’ Symphony no. 8 conducted by Ed Wadon, as well as Beethovens Zapfenstreich no. 2 in C performed by the wind and brass sections of the Sinfonia.

Following the success of last year’s ‘Mozart Requiem’, this year’s ‘Come and Sing’ workshop will include works from Handel’s Messiah.
Led by musical director Tony Coupe with members of the Ellesmere College Choral Society and the newly formed Ellesmere Sinfonia Orchestra, this is a great opportunity to learn and perform movements from this amazing oratorio.

If you play or have previously played an orchestral instrument and would like to blow the dust off and get going again then Ellesmere Sinfonia would love to have you come along. This event would be a great way of starting, however you would always be welcome at our rehearsals.
Come and join us for a highly entertaining evening of live music, written by Carl Davis, providing the score to Keaton’s movie.
Steamboat Bill Jr is best known for Keaton’s most famous film stunt: the facade of an entire house falling on top of him while he stands in the perfect spot to pass through the open attic window! Also featuring short films by Charlie Chaplin and Snub Pollard.
